Paula Dunlop Pop-Up Studio and Concept Store

Duration:
7th December — 31st December

Opening Hours:
Mondays: Closed
Tuesday-Saturday: 10am - 5pm
Sundays: 10am - 3pm

Project description & brief:

Shop silver and glass wearables, meticulously handwoven with needle and thread.  Paula’s distinctive application of time-honoured (and time-consuming) hand-weaving and metal forming techniques produce contemporary minimal statement pieces that are beautiful both on and off the body.

The designer-maker will move her studio into the space.  Visitors can watch her work; see, try and buy current collections (as well as some old favourites in new colour-ways); purchase special one-offs, limited edition pieces, and sculptural objects; and collect neckpieces, earrings, armpieces, and rings from new collections.

About the maker:

Paula Dunlop is a Brisbane-based artist, designer, and maker.  She takes traditional bead-weaving techniques to produce contemporary and sculptural pieces from her home studio in Paddington.  Her work has been exhibited both locally and overseas, and is stocked in gallery and museum stores throughout Australia and in the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in NYC.
