PROJECT SPACE
We host a range of local artists, makers and craftspeople in our Project Space. We are particularly interested in sharing creative practice and process with our local community. The possibilities for these monthly projects are highly diverse and could focus on (or include a combination of): art exhibition or installation, creative workshops, creative residency, product launch, performing arts and more. Small groups and collectives work particularly well in the space.
Cost & Inclusions
$1,600 for the month (incl GST)
24/7 access to the space
Industrial style furniture/display props
Flexible lighting
Access to kitchenette (sink, bar fridge, microwave)
Access to toilet/shower/change room
Street level access/ loading bay
Socials, web and promotion through Vacant Assembly
No extra fees or commissions on sales
The Project Space has been renovated utilising recycled and repurposed materials to create an intimate interior. The dark textures are highlighted by the beautiful natural light that flows through the generous floor to ceiling shop front windows. The project space has the possibility of 24hr viewing due to its location on Montague road. The space was launched in May 2021 with a collection of work by artists in residence, transforming the Project Space into a retail space.
