The Vacant Assembly team will curate and install the show. If you create a multimedia work or a work that requires complex installation , you may be asked to support or install the artwork yourself. VA reserves the right to refuse to install any work that seems precarious or more likely to break due to its fragile or unfinished nature. VA also requires all work to be ‘ready to hang,’ framing is not a requirement but the work must be have D rings, wire or a deep timber frame. VA will not prepare your piece to install if it is missing hanging system etc

ARTWORK SALES
VA will manage curation, install and artwork sales.
If the work is sold and the purchaser is unable to pick up from VA in 7 days - the artist is required to pick up the work and deliver the work.
Artists who sell their work will receive an invoice for 25% commission - the rest of the sale amount will be transferred to artists nominated bank account.
The fees will cover the cost of preparing, curating & hosting the exhibition, card fees and installation supplies. Any further ‘profits’ will go directly further refurbishments on the VA Building.

2D WORKS
Dimensions: 200mm x 400 mm

The work should be as close to these dimensions as possible. Note, if you are framing the work, the outside limits of the frame must be 200mm x 400mm. The work can be portrait or landscape.
There are no restrictions on materials or medium. Multimedia, projection and video works are welcome (within these dimensional restrictions), we will work with you to provide power and solve installation challenges/ requirements.

3D WORKS
Maximum Dimensions:

200mm x 400mm x 200mm
The work should aim to ‘fill’ this size volume but can have voids and hollows. The goal is that the work reaches these dimensions in at least 3 directions. There are no restrictions on materials or medium. Multimedia, projection and video works are welcome (within these dimensional restrictions), we will work with you to provide power and solve installation challenges/ requirements. We will also presume work is to be displayed on a horizontal surface unless you provide install instructions.

Any unsold works will need to be collected by Friday 19th December (unless otherwise arranged)
