Zac Moynihan is a Brisbane-based plein air oil painter whose practice explores light, atmosphere, and the poetics of place. Working directly in the landscape, his paintings balance structural clarity with fleeting impressions, capturing both intimacy and expansiveness. Alongside his studio and exhibition work, Zac leads landscape painting workshops that explore key principles of composition, the power of transparency in creating depth and atmosphere, and the discipline of working on paintings across many stages. His teaching draws on traditions of master painters while encouraging personal interpretation, helping participants build both technical skill and a deeper connection to the world around them.
